Our co-founder Michael, our head of product, has spent 20+ years in coffee and restaurants, and he's relentless about what a latte should taste like.
Getting each RUME formula right took him over a year — hundreds of recipes, countless taste tests with real baristas and well over a hundred friends and family from every walk of life. We didn't stop until the most common reaction became, “if I was at a café and you handed me this, I'd never know it was a powder.”

A note from our founder
Your favorite café was never the problem. A latte made by someone who actually cares, somewhere you're in no hurry to leave — that's worth every dollar, and we'd never tell you otherwise.
The problem is the rest of the week. Most mornings you can't make it there, so you settle for the fast-coffee chain instead: the drive-thru, the line, a $7 cup that's mostly sugar. You pay café prices and get nothing that feels like a café.
We didn't think that was fair. So we crafted a latte of our own — the way it should taste, at the price it should cost, ready in the time you've actually got.

We were obsessed with getting this right. Our co-founder Michael, our head of product, with 20+ years in the restaurant and coffee industries, spent well over a year with us taste-testing hundreds of combinations to nail each formula. Every flavor was put in front of the baristas at his restaurant and well over a hundred friends and family, across every kind of taste and preference, before it earned a spot in the lineup.

The Home Pack is made to live on your counter — something consistent and easy, in the same spot, for the mornings you just want to roll out of bed and make something good. The On-The-Go sachets are for travel and the midday sweet-treat pick-me-up, wherever the day takes you. It's not one or the other — we built both because we live the same dynamic life you do, and reach for each depending on the day.
Most iced drinks make you brew them hot, wait for them to cool, then pour over ice — an iced latte, a matcha, an iced coffee, all of it. Not here. For an iced RUME, just start with cold or room-temp water and ice. No heating, no waiting, and honestly it comes out even better that way.
